| Skills Assessment Requirements |
Unless you are exempt in very limited circumstances, you are required to have a positive Skills Assessment to apply for the visas listed above. Skills Assessment authority for Market Research Analyst is Vocational & Education Training Assessment (VETASSESS). To have a positive skills assessment, you must meet the following criteria: - Qualification assessed at AQF Bachelor degree or higher in a highly relevant field of study AND at least one year of post-qualification highly relevant employment at an appropriate skill level in the last five years
OR - Qualification assessed at AQF Bachelor degree or higher WITH an additional qualification at AQF Diploma level in a highly relevant field of study AND at least two years of post-qualification highly relevant employment at an appropriate skill level in the last five years
OR - Qualification assessed at AQF Bachelor degree or higher WITHOUT a highly relevant field of study AND at least three years of post-qualification highly relevant employment at an appropriate skill level in the last five years
- Applicants must meet both the qualification and employment requirements to obtain a positive skills assessment
- Highly relevant fields of study include:
- Marketing
- Business
- Statistics
- Social Research
- According to VETASSESS, your pre-qualification experience may be considered in the skills assessment if it meets the following requirements:
- 5 years of relevant pre-qualification employment; and
- 1 year of highly relevant employment within the past five years
- Applicants nominating Market Research Analyst must provide:
- CV or Resume
- Applicants are also encouraged to provide: research plans, research summaries and/or contracts if relevant
Important VETASSESS require Management Consultant applicants to provide an organisational chart for each period of employment in the last five years and the details of the consultancy engagements you were involved in. |

Develop and coordinate advertising strategies and campaigns, determine the market for new goods and services, and identify and develop market opportunities for new and existing goods and services. Tasks - Planning, developing and organising advertising policies and campaigns to support sales objectives
- Advising executives and clients on advertising strategies and campaigns to reach target markets, creating consumer awareness and effectively promoting the attributes of goods and services
- Coordinating production of advertising campaigns involving specialised activities, such as artwork, copywriting, media scripting, television and film production and media placement, within time and budget constraints
- Analysing data regarding consumer patterns and preferences
- Interpreting and predicting current and future consumer trends
- Researching potential demand and market characteristics for new goods and services and collecting and analysing data and other statistical information
- Supporting business growth and development through the preparation and execution of marketing objectives, policies and programs
- Commissioning and undertaking market research to identify market opportunities for new and existing goods and services
- Advising on all elements of marketing such as product mix, pricing, advertising and sales promotion, selling, and distribution channels
Skill Level In Australia and New Zealand: Most occupations in this unit group have a level of skill commensurate with a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 1). At least five years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualification.
