Exam Preparation

DELF/DALF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française / Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française)

• Conducted by: French Ministry of Education (FEI)
• Prep time: 6-9 months (varies by level)
• Exam Structure: Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking
• About the exam: DELF (A1-B2) is for beginner to intermediate learners, while DALF (C1-C2) is for advanced learners. These diplomas are internationally recognized, valid for a lifetime, and essential for studying, working, or immigrating to French-speaking countries

TEF/TCF (Test d’Évaluation de Français / Test de Connaissance du Français)

• Conducted by: CCIP Paris Île-de-France (TEF) & France Éducation International (TCF)
• Prep time: 3-9 months
• Exam Structure: Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking, Grammar (optional)
• About the exam: Both TEF and TCF assess French proficiency for immigration (Canada, France), university admissions, and professional certification. Unlike DELF/DALF, they are scored exams rather than pass/fail. Results are valid for 2 years. TEF is mandatory for Canada PR (Express Entry), while TCF is often used for French citizenship and residency applications.
