Alberta has invited candidates who reach the minimal cutoff score to be eligible for the provincial nomination for the sixth time in a row.

The results of Alberta's October 26 draw are now released. A total of 248 Express Entry applicants were asked to seek for a provincial nomination in the western Prairie Province.

The Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) welcomed applicants with Express Entry scores of at least 300.

The most recent draw is the sixth in a row with a cutoff score of 300, the minimum required to be eligible for the Alberta Express Entry Stream.

Since resuming invitation rounds in January 2021, Alberta has invited 6,158 Express Entry applicants to seek for a provincial nomination. It has taken a little break in the latter months of 2020. The draws invite Express Entry applicants to file for a nomination certificate, which will considerably help their permanent residency application.

Alberta is permitted to issue 6,250 nomination certificates this year. Because there have been fewer invites given than nomination certificates allocated, it appears that the province is not finished sending invitations this year.
