Since the beginning of the year, B.C. has sent out over 9,000 invitations to seek for a provincial nomination.

As part of its PNP programme, British Columbia has been conducting two different rounds of invites twice a month since February. Due to a large number of persons registering for specific jobs in the BC PNP Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS), B.C. has started holding an extra draw to balance the demands in all areas of the provincial labour market.

In the general draw, candidates from the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program's (BC PNP) Skills Immigration (SI) and Express Entry BC (EEBC) streams got invites.

Invitations were sent to people in the Skilled Worker, International Graduate, Entry Level, and Semi-Skilled sub-categories of the SI and EEBC streams, respectively.

For that draw, the minimum scores varied from 69 to 90 points. A total of 386 people were asked to participate.

Candidates whose occupation falls within NOC 0621 or NOC 0631 were targeted in a separate draw under the SI and EEBC categories. The draw generated 36 invites with scores of 105.

B.C. has issued a total of 9,083 invites across various BC PNP streams this year.
