British Columbia issued 24 invitations under its Entrepreneur Immigration Category 

  British Columbia in its recent draw issued 24 invitations to eligible candidates under the Entrepreneur Immigration stream that were released via the Provincial Nominee Program of British Columbia.   The draw that took place on October 29 issued invitations through both the General Category of Entrepreneur Immigration and the Regional Pilot Category for Entrepreneur Immigration.   A total of 19 invitations were sent through the General Category of Entrepreneur Immigration on a cut-off score, which was as low as 114. It is important to note that the previous British Columbia Entrepreneur Immigration Draw was targeted completely towards the Regional Pilot Category of Entrepreneur Immigration.   The draw that took place on October 8 issued invitations to 7 candidates through the immigration stream that was focused towards inviting entrepreneurs to the smaller communities located across the province of British Columbia. British Columbia Entrepreneur Immigration General Category requirements   Applicants belonging to the class of entrepreneurs that have applied for the Canadian permanent residence (PR) visa through the British Columbia’s Entrepreneur Immigration General Category should meet the following eligibility criteria:  
  • Have individual net worth equivalent to CAD 8 lakhs;
  • Required to make a personal investment equivalent to CAD 4 lakhs for establishing or acquiring and then expanding an appropriate business in the province of British Columbia;
  • Create at least three jobs for both, the citizens as well as the permanent residents of Canada;
  • Engage appropriately towards the day-to-day management of their business;
  • Required to sign a performance contract with the provincial government of British Columbia;
  • Applicants in the Entrepreneur Category are also eligible to sponsor an important member of their staff for the Canadian permanent residency (PR).
  British Columbia Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot requirements   Applicants belonging to the class of entrepreneurs that have applied for the Canadian permanent residence (PR) visa through the British Columbia’s Entrepreneur Immigration Regional Pilot Category should meet the following eligibility criteria:  
  • Want to start a business or an enterprise and settle in the regional area of British Columbia;
  • If the applicant is required to come to British Columbia for an exploratory visit;
  • Intend to invest a sum of CAD 1 lakh towards a qualified business;
  • Hold an individual total worth of CAD 3 Lakhs;
  • Owns 51 percent of the business;
  • Should create one job immediately.
