Scholarship Overview

The Doha Institute offers two main scholarships:

1. Tamim Scholarship (Merit-Based):

  • Covers full tuition fees.

  • Provides free accommodation in institute dormitories.

  • Includes a monthly stipend.

  • Offers health insurance.

  • Provides two travel tickets to and from the home country.

2. Sanad Scholarship (Need-Based):

  • Covers 10% to 100% of tuition fees.

  • For international students, it includes full tuition coverage, accommodation, monthly stipend, health insurance, and two travel tickets.

Additionally, doctoral scholarships provide phased support during the PhD journey. This includes tuition coverage and stipends, provided students maintain a GPA of 3.5 or higher.

  • Deadline: January 15, 2026

  • Academic Year Start: August 2026

  • Process: First, submit an admission application to your chosen program. After acceptance, you will receive the scholarship application form from the Admissions Office.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Maintain a strong academic record.

  • Doctoral applicants must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 in the first phase.

  • Students cannot have received funding from the same DI scholarship previously.

  • DI scholarships cannot combine with other external scholarships unless approved.

  • PhD candidates must commit 10–15 hours per week to research or teaching duties.
