The province of Manitoba conducted its third Provincial Nominee Program Draw, which is prominently known as the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) Draw of this year on April 26 under the Expression of Interest System.

In this latest draw, a total of 367 Invitations to Apply were issued to the eligible and skilled candidates. Out of these 367 invitations or Letters of Advice to Apply, 34 invitations were issued to candidates who submitted their profile in the Express Entry Pool and have a valid Express Entry Number and job seeker validation code.

All the other candidates were selected by the provincial government of Manitoba through its various immigration streams and the details of the MPNP draw are listed as follows:

Category: Skilled Workers in Manitoba

  • Invitations issued: 301
  • CRS Score: 440

Category: International Education Stream

  • Invitations issued: 55

Category: Skilled Workers Overseas

  • Invitations issued: 11
  • CRS Score: 721

Applicants that were invited directly by the PNP of Manitoba under a Strategic Recruitment Initiative via the Skilled Worker Overseas Immigration Stream are those candidates who submitted their profiles in the Express Entry Pool.

Further, all the Federal Express Entry applicants that received invitations in this provincial draw will only remain eligible to receive the required invitation if their Express Entry Profile will remain valid at the time of evaluation of their MPNP application.

Express Entry is one of the main pathway through which Canada managed skilled and professional workers applications. There are considerable possibilities to skip the PNP immigration route and receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for the permanent residence of Canada directly by applying for the same, directly from the Express Entry. However, if an applicant receives a provincial nomination then it effectively provides a guarantee that the Federal Government of Canada or the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will send you the required invitation to apply for the permanent residency of Canada.

Express Entry can be described as an application management system which operates and manages three Federal Immigration Stream. When a candidate submits their Expression of Interest, and then then are ranked on the basis of the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) which takes into consideration factors such as age, employment experience, education and also language proficiency skills.

The candidate who is able to score highest is able to receive an invitation to apply (ITA) to apply towards the permanent residence, where the selection of the eligible candidates takes place through the frequently held Express Entry Draws.

You also receive an additional 600 CRS points after being nominated by a province, such as Manitoba. This additional award of points is high enough to enable you to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) in the subsequent Express Entry Draw.
