The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) of the United Arab Emirates has launched a new digital service for Golden Visa holders. It helps residents who lose their passports abroad by offering a free electronic Return Document. This document lets them re-enter the UAE within 30 minutes of approval.

This new service acts as a quick return solution for Golden Visa residents and their dependents. It allows them to come back to the UAE quickly if their passports are lost or damaged.

Applicants can use the MoFA website or mobile app to apply. They must log in with their UAE Pass ID and upload a lost passport report, Golden Visa details, and a recent photo.

Once approved, the Return Document is sent electronically. It remains valid for a single entry into the UAE and expires seven days after issue. The service also applies to dependents, including spouses and children listed under the visa holder’s residency. This ensures families are not stranded abroad during emergencies.

According to MoFA, this initiative supports the government’s goal of improving the safety and mobility of long-term residents who contribute to the UAE’s economy.
