In the categories of Express Entry and Labor Impact and Business Stream, a total of 158 invitations were given to candidates.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">PEI is one of 11 Canadian provinces and territories involved in the Provincial Nominee Program of Canada, which requires them to select a number of Canadian permanent residence immigration applicants each year. Prince Edward Island, or PEI, holds monthly drawings for immigrant applicants who have submitted an Expression of Interest to their PEI PNP immigrant applicant program.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">PEI&#8217;s Express Entry Category is connected to the Federal Express Entry Program, which handles the pool of candidates for three of Canada&#8217;s major categories of immigration \u2014\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Federal Skilled Worker Class,\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Federal Skilled Trades Class<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Canadian Experience Class.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Express Entry applicants who wish to be eligible for a provincial PEI nomination must first complete a separate PEI PNP Expression of Interest (EOI) profile.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Such profiles are given a score based on factors such as English or French training, job experience and skills, and the highest-ranking applicants are invited to apply for a provincial nomination.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Express Entry applicants who have been accepted through the PEI Express Entry Process have 90 days to submit a full application to the Immigration Office of the province from the invitation date.\u00a0 Applicants selected by PEI receive an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, leaving them in a strong position to receive a Permanent Residence Invitation to Apply.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The PEI PNP has now issued 1,177 invitations to apply through its Express Entry and Labour Impact categories in 2019.
