Nevertheless, candidates should work in an occupation that promotes the economic development and diversification goals of the province. A list of qualified occupations is not <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">provided by the province.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">The Express Entry system manages the pool of candidates for three of Canada\u2019s main economic immigration categories\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Federal Skilled Worker Class\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Federal Skilled Trades Class\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Canadian Experience Class<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">The following numbers are accurate as of September 18, 2019. Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP) can issue up to 6,000 nominations for the 2019 calendar year. This limit is set by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">4,378 nomination certificates have been issued so far in 2019. Approximately 1,650 applications await assessment for eligibility. Information on application volumes and processing is available to help you determine the status of your application.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">Selected candidates are issued a Notification of Interest, or NOI, from the AINP and are invited to apply for a provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">The AINP also says it may give priority to candidates with:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">a job offer and\/or work experience in Alberta;<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">a degree from a Canadian post-secondary institution and a valid job offer; or<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">a parent, child or sibling already living in Alberta.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">A provincial nomination results in an additional 600 points towards an Express Entry candidate\u2019s Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score, effectively assuring an invitation to apply for Canadian permanent residence in a subsequent Express Entry invitation round.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>Application volumes by occupation<\/b><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; color: #000000;\">The AINP has a high volume of applications and Alberta Expression Entry submissions in the following occupations.
