Canadian government recently has introduced many changes in its immigration policy that has actually changed the whole system around. Previously it brought in changes related to CRS with immediate effect from 19th November 2016, under which the applicants who were garnering 600 points through LMIA (Labor Market Impact Assessment) will not only be awarded 200 for senior managerial positions and 50 for rest of the job offers. These changes were much appreciated as it opened gates for not only foreign skilled workers and international students to gain PR easily but also helps the companies established in Canada to gain required professionals easily.<\/p>\n

The view point of Immigration Minister John McCallum on these changes and why they are being implemented is – \u201cWe have committed to doing more to attract highly skilled immigrants to come to Canada and become permanent residents, because this is important to build our economy and strengthen our society.\u201d<\/p>\n

As per Wattpad CEO Allen Lau, these changes will lessen the difference seen in the demand and supply of skilled workers required in Canadian economy where the demand was quite high and supply was not able to catch up in time.
