This draw marked the first category-based selection since the introduction of six new categories on May 31.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is expected that within the same week, there will be a draw specifically for eligible applicants in the STEM fields, encompassing science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What does STEM draw mean?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To meet the growing demand for skilled individuals and fill crucial positions that contribute to economic growth and technological progress, Canada&#8217;s Express Entry system has been adjusted to attract qualified individuals with experience in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The initial phase of the selection process, which is based on specific categories, for STEM candidates will commence on July 5. Tapping into the expertise that Canadian organizations require to drive innovation and realize their growth potential, will have positive effects on Canada&#8217;s scientific and technological economy.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This declaration reaffirms Canada&#8217;s dedication to attracting top international talent and strengthening its position as a leader in research and development (R&amp;D) and innovation. In conjunction with the recent launch of the Tech Talent Attraction Strategy, this announcement further supports the Government of Canada&#8217;s efforts to retain and attract the most skilled individuals to address the challenges faced by the STEM workforce.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>In addition to the existing immigration measures, a special set of invitations is being issued to health workers to address labor shortages in the healthcare industry<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot, which recently unveiled two additional streams, offers talented refugees and other displaced individuals the opportunity to utilize their education, experience, and training to continue their professions in Canada. More than half of the applications received are from individuals working as nurses&#8217; aides, orderlies, and patient service associates, making this pilot program particularly popular in the healthcare field.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In April, modifications were made to the Express Entry system to simplify the process of granting permanent resident visas to doctors in Canada who provide publicly funded healthcare.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In December, the Canadian government announced a $90 million investment in initiatives aimed at removing barriers that prevent qualified and competent immigrants from gaining job experience in their respective professions or fields of study.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Between 2017 and 2022, a total of 21,656 skilled immigrants entered Canada to work in the health sector.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>What is the rationale behind implementing the category-based draw system for healthcare professionals?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There is a high demand for healthcare workers in various communities throughout Canada.
