They established a specialized healthcare pathway, became a part of the Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot, and relaxed the eligibility criteria for rural Alberta business and worker programs.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The list of updates is presented in the following manner:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Dedicated Healthcare Pathway<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alberta has introduced a new route for healthcare professionals who qualify for the Alberta Express Entry Stream. Those who are eligible include physicians, registered nurses, nurse practitioners, licensed practical nurses, physician assistants, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, psychologists, and clinical social workers.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To qualify, candidates must have a job offer from an employer in the healthcare industry in Alberta and evidence of meeting the necessary requirements to practice in Alberta.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In 2023, up to 30% of the Express Entry allocations will be reserved for healthcare professionals applying through this stream. On April 5, Alberta conducted its first PNP draw, inviting 58 Express Entry candidates with a minimum score of 351.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>AAIP Rural Entrepreneur Stream<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The minimum investment amount required for the Rural Entrepreneur Stream in Alberta has been reduced by 50%. This means that applicants are now only required to invest a minimum of $100,000, as opposed to the previous minimum of $200,000.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The purpose of this change is to make the Rural Entrepreneur Stream more competitive and comparable to other entrepreneur streams.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>AAIP Rural Renewal Stream<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alberta has simplified the process for applying for community designation by eliminating the need for an endorsement letter from a settlement organization. However, communities are still required to submit a settlement plan as part of the application process to ensure that they have sufficient resources to support new residents through the Rural Renewal Stream.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The Economic Mobility Pathways Pilot (EMPP) is a program that combines refugee resettlement and economic immigration to assist skilled and qualified refugees in benefiting from existing economic immigration programs in Canada.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Alberta has now joined this initiative and is collaborating with the federal government to implement the pilot. By doing so, Alberta aims to supplement its annual nominations and provide a unique opportunity for skilled refugees to immigrate to Canada. More information on the implementation of this program will be made available in the upcoming months.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>AAIP phone line<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To provide an extra means of communication with the AAIP, Alberta has established a telephone hotline.
