The IRCC assigns a fixed number of nominations annually to each province and territory taking part in the PNP program.<\/p>\n<p class=\"reader-text-block__paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">In the current year, IRCC has provided provinces with multi-year allocations for the first time. Although these figures were not publicly released, provinces have shared them as they saw fit.<\/p>\n<p class=\"reader-text-block__paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The goal for Canada is to accept 465,000 new permanent residents in 2023, with 82,880 expected through regular Express Entry streams and an additional 105,500 through all PNP streams, including those that are aligned with Express Entry.<\/p>\n<p class=\"reader-text-block__paragraph\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">To achieve the immigration goals set for 2023, the IRCC will have to persist in sending out invitations to Express Entry candidates from its pool. This could make it a significant year for those who have applied through the Express Entry and PNP programs.
