Those applicants who are able to score maximum points based on human capital factors which includes age, education qualification, work experience, proficiency in English language and others receives an Invitation to Apply or ITA to submit their visa application towards the Government of Australia or the DHA. SkillSelect invitation process and generating cut-offs

The highest ranked clients or those that have scored the highest points are sent an invitation to apply to apply towards the relevant visa. For those candidates that have scored equal points scores, the particular time at which they have reached on the required threshold of points score for that particular subclass (which is also referred as the date of effect) finally determines their order of invitation getting issued. Expression of Interest with earlier dates of effect are issued invitations before later dates.
